E-MRS, GRC and some visits

I have attended the E-MRS conference in Strasbourg early June and gave an invited talk in the session on functional biointerfaces; I also visited Pierre Fechter and Pascale Romby at the Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology.

I then crossed the Atlantic to the US west coast and visited Enrico Gratton’s Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics in Irvine and Bruce Cohen at the Molecular Foundry in Berkeley. This week I was at the first Gordon Research Conference on Noble Metal Nanoparticles on the east coast (NH).

A lot of travel, a lot of good scientific discussions and new potential or confirmed collaborations, some very nice places, … but really time to go home!
